Maison Dieu Ambassador Training

Are you interested in being a welcomer, events volunteer or guide at the Maison Dieu?

We’re looking for people of all ages and backgrounds to join our friendly volunteer team to welcome visitors to this historic gem of a building. A great opportunity to meet people, learn about Dover history, develop skills and make friends. Free training and travel expenses available.

All training will be held at the Maison Dieu.

There are 3 training sessions that need to be attended:

Introduction to the Maison Dieu
Welcoming visitors
Guided tours

You can pick between daytime or evening sessions or mix and match as suits your schedule.

Daytime training sessions:

10am to 12pm Tuesday 4 March 2025 - Introduction to the Maison Dieu

Learn about the newly refurbished building and meet members of the team. Including a special orientation tour.

Find out how to welcome different kinds of visitors to the Maison Dieu and make their visit a special one.

For volunteers interested in assisting with or leading guided tours of the Maison Dieu or being a room guide.
